At Upon This Rock A+ Academy, education reaches beyond the classroom. We believe children thrive when academic development, strong character, faith, creativity, leadership, and community come together.
Every family is welcome here. Our Academy proudly reflects the Black/African American and Latino/Hispanic families of New Haven, and we serve families in both English and Spanish.

Five programs, one faith-centered environment — from full-time daycare to evening care and summer camp.
Full-Time Daycare
Ages 2 years, 8 months – 5 years
A warm, nurturing full-time environment for our youngest learners, where early learning, social growth and faith grow together and children are prepared for their next educational steps.
Before & After School Care
School-aged children
6:30 AM – 11:00 PM
Dependable, flexible care before school, after school and well beyond the traditional school day — so families always have a safe, encouraging place for their child.
Homeschool Program
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
A structured, supportive daytime environment for homeschool students, shaped by the Academy's commitment to Faith, Excellence and Purpose.
Evening Care
All ages served by our childcare programs
3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Dependable evening childcare for parents and guardians who work evening shifts or nontraditional schedules, attend school, or have evening obligations.
Summer Camp
Ages 5 – 13
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
A summer of fun, faith and success — academic enrichment, creative arts, STEM, sports, faith building and leadership, with extended care available.

Upon This Rock A+ Academy grew from a ministry that believed serving children meant serving the entire community.
Through education, mentoring, outreach, family support, summer programming, youth development, community events, and ministry, Upon This Rock has created opportunities and strengthened families throughout New Haven.
